When I moved to Düsseldorf in 2010 I was introduced to Bootcamp Fitness. I had never participated in an organised outdoor workout before and was instantly hooked. After two years as a member of the Bootcamp, I decided to study to become a fitness trainer. Upon qualifying, I started running group training sessions and offering personal training services.
Whilst studying to become a Fitness Trainer I realised just how little I knew about the correct exercise techniques, how important close supervision of clients is and the importance of good rapport with the group or individual you are training. These are the principles I now incorporate into all my training sessions.
I enjoy designing and running intense, effective workout sessions which are also fun. It may be hard work but it doesn’t have to be dull!

I have been a member of many gyms over the years and I always started out with the best intentions. However, after a few months the "excuses" would take over.
Then, I found boot camp! For the past 8 months I have loved attending Jackie's boot camp sessions as they have offered me the chance to get fit, tone up and more importantly have great fun with all the other ladies. Jackie is a great trainer and has fostered a real sense of enjoyment in her sessions.
I've been working out with Jackie Mitchell for many months now, firstly with the bootcamp sessions and more recently the ultimate workouts. Jackie is a fantastic trainer, very motivational and knows how to get the best from you, even when it's really tough. The sessions are changed regularly too, which is great. Overall I'm very pleased to have found some local classes with the extra bonus of being given in English!

The monthly pass gives you 8 sessions per month at your chosen location.
At the start of your monthly pass you must inform us of any dates you know you will be missing sessions. A credit will then be applied to your membership for these dates.
If you miss a date that has not been marked as an absence in advance (at the beginning of the monthly pass) you will lose that session. Injuries will be treated on a case by case basis.
You will be contacted the week before your renewal is due. Payment must be made on or before the last session of your current monthly pass. This will ensure your place at the bootcamp is secured for the following month.

You will receive 8 sessions per month at your chosen location.
At the start of your membership you must inform us of any dates you know you will be missing sessions. You will be contacted at the beginning of your first month asking of any dates you would like marking on your membership. A credit will then be applied for these dates. You will then be contacted just before the start of your 2nd and 3rd month to ask of any dates that need to be cancelled. Again credits will be applied for these pre notified dates.
If you miss a date that has not been marked as an absence in advance (at the beginning of the each of the three months) you will lose that session. Injuries will be treated on a case by case basis.
You will be contacted during the week before your renewal is due. Payment must be made on or before your last session of your current monthly pass. This will ensure your place at the bootcamp is secured for the following month.
Cost € 130,-
The open pass gives you 10 sessions. These must be used within 4 months of the start of your open pass. Any sessions not taken within the 4 months will be lost. You can attend any of the bootcamp sessions.
Sessions will only be deducted from your 10 credits when you attend. If you miss a session your credit remains in place. You will be issued an attendance card to show how many sessions you have taken.
You will be contacted prior to your ninth session asking for renewal. Payment must be made on or before your tenth session to ensure your place at the bootcamp is secured.
If your renewal is late by more than one week we cannot guarantee your place will still be available at the bootcamp.
€ 10,- paid when you attend a session
€ 55,- for 6 sessions.
The 6 sessions will be marked on an attendance card with one being crossed off each time you attend a session. Once your 6 sessions are used up you simply start again either on a pay as you go basis or pay in advance.
Paying in Advance does not guarantee you a place at a workout session.
This option will allow you to try out personal training without committing to a monthly contract.
At your free initial consultation we will assess your requirements, what your short and long term goals are and the time you have to commit to the training. We would then meet for a one hour training session to go through the programme, teach you the correct techniques and ensure you are happy with the programme. At the end of the session you can chose to book another session or continue with the programme on your own.

This option ties you into a 6 week contract.
At the free consultation meeting we would discuss what you wanted to achieve over the coming 6 weeks, what your goals are, your fitness level and the time you have available to commit to a training schedule, including training on your own. After this meeting we would meet on a regular basis to go through your routine together. I would ensure you were working safely, effectively and to the correct intensity level and most importantly you were happy with the programme. If at any point during this 6 week period you were not seeing the results you were looking for we would reassess your programme, discuss what may not be working and if necessary make alterations.

Trial sessions are only held for the Bootcamp sessions.
You would come along to a regular bootcamp session and workout with the other members of the group.
Prior to the session you will be talked through what will happen during the session and taught the correct technique for each of the exercises.
The cost of a trial would be deducted from your first month's payment should you join.

You will need to wear comfortable sports clothing and good trainers. During the winter I suggest layers (and possibly gloves and hat) as it will be cold when we start. As we workout in all weathers a waterproof top is also a good idea.
As we may be working on the ground a towel or exercise mat is advisable and always remember water. Other than that you’ll just need your enthusiasm.
Whenever possible I try to hold my sessions outside. I believe it is a better environment for exercising and really lifts the spirits. However if the weather is extremely bad the session would be cancelled and you would receive a credit for that session. The times when a session would be cancelled are
Extremely wet or icy underfoot
Thunder and Lightening (I would not necessarily cancel if it were only Thundering)
At the moment when the evenings are dark the evening classes will be relocated to an area with lighting.
At the beginning of your first session I will ask some key questions about your current exercise activity and if you have any injuries (old or new) or limitations they impact on your ability to workout. From this information I will advise you what I think are your best options.
If you have not exercised for some time this does not mean you cannot join a workout. I would monitor your intensity level and exercise technique very closely to ensure you are not working beyond your capability which may lead to injury.
Every member of JM Fitness Training will also be issued a PAR-Q to complete. A PAR-Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) asks questions about you and your family medical history. It will give an indication if you should seek medical clearance before starting to exercise.
